Cross-platform Assessment System

LFA is working with the Peninsula Community Foundation to develop a system for collecting and analyzing evidence of the impact the Foundation is having in the community. In particular, PCF wishes to develop a system for understanding the impact of its Community Programs Platform and then expand the system to include its other grantmaking programs.

Belle Haven Community School Project

LFA is conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the first implementation year of the Belle Haven Elementary Full-Service School Project, a collaborative effort involving the Peninsula Partnership for Children, Youth and Families (a division of Peninsula Community Foundation), school district, and the community at large. Belle Haven serves a student population with a high rate of poverty that is predominantly comprised of English Language Learners. The Full-Service School Project is a key component of Belle Haven’s School Improvement Plan, designed to improve student achievement, enhance learning environments and strengthen the community. In order to understand how the project supports comprehensive, grassroots reform, LFA will observe, assess, track and communicate the progress of implementation and the success in impacting student achievement, the learning environment and school community.
