LFA is working with the Blue Shield Foundation of California to design an evaluation for grantees of the Foundation's Core Support Clinic Iniative, which provides general operating support to clinics throughout the state. LFA's evaluation involves collecting baseline data through interviews and surveys on whether clinics are able to serve more uninsured patients and maintain or expand their service levels. Other outcomes that are currently being examined include stabilization of the clinic's finances, increased professional development opportunties for staff, and policy related activities.
